A Bedding Plant Grower, Private Breeder and Owner of Sato Nursery in Japan ​ In 1985, Mr. Sato studied and trained in horticulture at Tagawa Greenhouses in Colorado, USA for two years. After training in USA, he founded "Sato Nursery" in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture in 1988 and began growing pansies and violas. His uncompromising cultivation and development efforts of new varieties have repeatedly inspired gardeners in Japan.  In 2025, Tagawa Greenhouses began selling our original varieties in the United States. On the first day of sales, large crowds lined up in front of their store, demonstrating their growing popularity overseas. In the same year, we were awarded the Emperor's Cup at the 64th Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Festival, Japan's highest award. We will continue to listen to our customers' feedback and create strong, beautiful flower seedlings.
